  Under the aegis of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus Belarusian Youth Public Organization of Fire-Rescuers was created in autumn 2001 and the Ministry of Justice registered it on December 27, 2001. BYPOFR has its own Statute and today it accounts for over 38 thousand members.

  The association accounts for over 100 thousand members. The association aims to assist governmental and fire safety agencies, enterprises, organizations, establishments and citizens in carrying out fire-prevention control.

  The clubs function in accordance with the Regulations on clubs of young fire-rescuers. Their objectives are education of schoolchildren on issues of life safety, fire-fighting and search and rescue equipment, emergency response training. In near future the clubs are going to lay the basis for Belarusian Non-profit Youth Organization of Fire Rescuers.
