Command-engineering institute of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus carries out a professional training on specialties «Prevention and liquidation of emergency situations», «People, objects and territories safety in emergency situations» for bodies and divisions for the emergency situations of the Republic of Belarus.

Educational process in CEI is organized at three faculties:
engineering (term of training 4 years);
command (term of training 4 years);
correspondence course (term of training of 5 years)

and seven faculties:
The organizations of activity of bodies and divisions for the emergency situations;
Fire preventive maintenance and prevention of emergency situations;
Fire and rescue technical equipment;
Tactics of carrying out of rescue works and suppressions of fires;
Fire rescue and physical training;
Natural sciences;
The humanities.

At command faculty preparation of the managerial personnel from among persons of an average and the senior commanding structure of bodies and divisions for the emergency situations of the Republic of Belarus, having higher education and qualification «Engineer of fire techniques and safety » is carried out.

The post-graduate studying (adjunctura) where preparation on specialties «Safety in emergency situations» and «Fire and industrial safety » (engineering science) is carried out.

The annual admission of candidates are: on engineering faculty – 75 person, command – 37, correspondence course – 60, in adjunctura – 6. The Aggregate number trained in institute for the current period – 1002 persons. From the moment of creation in CEI 9 graduations of cadets of engineering faculty, 7 – listeners of faculty of correspondence course, 2 – listeners of command faculty took place.

Regular number of the faculty of institute – 70 person. The scientific potential of establishment is made by 5 doctors and 22 candidates of sciences, 3 professors, 17 senior lecturers.

The institute is completed by the highly skilled experts having a wide scientific and pedagogical and practical experience. Modern methods of training, computer technologies actively take root into educational process. Cadets and listeners are widely involved in research activity. From the moment of establishment of the CEI 21 manual, from them - 14 with a signature stamp of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, more than 250 methodical grants and recommendations is prepared. It was published about 300 proceedings, articles, theses of reports. The institute supports scientific and creative communications with leading institutes and scientific research institutes of republic, Institute of general inorganic chemistry NAS of Belarus, Research institute of fire safety and emergencies.

CEI has three lecture audiences (for carrying out of professional training in structure of a course), two of them are equipped by television systems which assume an opportunity of use of TV and video equipments, IBM at carrying out of studying.

For carrying out seminar, practical and laboratory researches there are 14 special audiences, 2 cabinets-laboratories, 10 special laboratories, 2 computer classes. All educational cabinets are equipped by visual aids, posters, breadboard models and stands, more than half of them are electrified. Laboratories are equipped by all necessary installations for carrying out of the laboratory activities stipulated by curriculums. In computer classes there are 15 IBM, incorporated in local networks, there is also a corresponding software.

In institute there is a hostel, an assembly hall, a dining room, there are more of 73 thousand of copies special and fiction in the library , a medical part.

For carrying out of physical training, fire-front and special preparation there is a universal sports-training arena (the best sports construction of this type in republic), a sports hall, a hall of wrestling and athletic gymnastics, a tactical and training tower.

Tactic, special and psychological training of the trainees is carried out on the line of psychological training, tactic and training grounds, heat and smoke chamber. To improve practical driving are used two passenger cars; there is a car camp and training grounds.

Practical training is carried out on the basis of training fire service, which is the part of the institute and has its own modern fire and survival machinery and equipment.

There are all necessary conditions for the full-value rest of the staff. There is brass band, vocal-instrumental consort “Prometei”, folklore consort “Diva”. Intellectual company “SPAS” takes part in the republican championship “League of the intellectual clubs What? Where? When?”, the team “Fire” is the part of Major league of Belarusian KVN.

On the basis of Command and engineering institute are worked training groups on athletics, volleyball, football, unarmed self-defence and dumb-bell sport. The institute team is the constant participant of the republican and international competitions. The participants of the team on fire sport are the champions of the International competition in different sport.
