Lyceum of Gomel engineering institute of the Ministry for emergency situations of the Republic of Belarus is the teaching and educational institution, provided general secondary education with the high level of teaching of general education subjects and profile training in order to enter the institution of the Ministry for emergency situations.

Lyceum was found by the Prime-minister of the Republic of Belarus and from the 1 September 2004 began to educate the first-year students (45 persons). The total number of trainees in Lyceum in the year of 2008 is 200 persons.
Lyceum represents closed educational institution with its regulations, flag, anthem and solemn vow.

Lyceum is situated on the 11 km. from Gomel on the territory of total area more than 13 hectare, where you can find medical, educational, sleeping and economic sectors, dormitories, club, dinning-room, sports ground.

In Lyceum of Gomel engineering institute takes boys, who graduate 7 forms of such institutions, which provide general secondary education independently from the place of their residence. Apprenticeship is 5 years. The trainees are supported by social security, live constantly in Lyceum, have special uniform. After the graduation the seniors of the Lyceum have benefits to enter the academy of the Ministry for emergency situations.
